H.E. Jordi Hereu Boher

Jordi Hereu Boher (Barcelona, 1965) has served as Minister of Industry and Tourism of the Government of Spain since November 2023. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from UPC and an MBA from the ESADE Business School.

Prior to joining the Government, Jordi Hereu was President of Hispasat and Idencity Consulting, as well as a trustee of the Fundación Fòrum Ambiental and an advisor to BCL Barcelona Centro Logístico.

Between 2006 and 2011, Hereu was Mayor of Barcelona, where he had previously held the positions of Deputy Mayor for Citizen Participation, Solidarity and Cooperation; Councillor in charge of the Department of Security and Mobility; Councillor for the District of Sant Andreu; Councillor for the District of Les Corts; and Manager of the District of Les Corts.

Earlier in his career, Jordi Hereu also served as National Marketing Director at CILSA, Centro Intermodal de Logística S.A., and was responsible for marketing at the ZAL Port 200 Project.
