Harvey Goldsmith CBE

For the past 50 years, the legend ‘Harvey Goldsmith” has been synonymous with some of the world’s most spectacular music events.
Whilst a student at Brighton College of Technology, Harvey started booking bands as the social secretary and then went to find his first live music venue, Club 66 in Brighton. He went on to become one of the most sought after legendary impresarios, producing the most historic concerts, television broadcasts and charities of our time. Harvey has used his influence and notoriety to make a difference in the world helping raise over $300 million for charities.
Harvey averaged around 500 concerts a year and promoting successful tours with most, if not all of the world’s major artists, including. Black Sabbath, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Genesis, Jools Holland, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Rolling Stones, The Who and Yes, to name just a few Harvey also played a significant role in establishing Wembley Stadium as a major world venue, transforming the Millenium Dome into the now world class O2 Arena and producing many shows with attendances surpassing the 100k mark.
Harvey has been instrumental in producing and creating some of the world’s greatest music events including Live Aid in 1985 and Live 8 in 2005. In 1991 he brought entertainment back to Hyde Park, starting with Pavarotti, the first concert held at Hyde Park in 20 years. He also Initiated and produced the famous Led Zeppelin reunion concert. A tribute to Ahmet Ertegun, co-founder of Atlantic Records, it went down in history as one of the most in-demand tickets ever, scooping up a number of awards in it’s wake, and raising money for the Ahmet Ertegun Education Trust.
Harvey is as legendary as he is prolific as a rock, pop and classical music promoter. Harvey has received numerous awards including a CBE in 1996, the Chevalier des Artes et Lettre’s from the French Minister of Culture in 2006, an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from the University of Brighton in the UK in July 2012. Harvey received The Diamond Award during The Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations for his contribution to the Arts in the UK.
Harvey is Chairman of The British Music Experience, the UK’s only Museum of contemporary music as well as Chairman of the Unsigned Music Awards (UMA’s). In September 2018 became the non-executive Chairman of management company YM U . Harvey sits on a number of boards including Editorial Intelligence, Captive Health, Festicket. Harvey is on the Board of Imagine Nation, a Dutch immersive theatre company as well joining the Board of Yes Chef! in February 2019, an online education platform for home cooking. Harvey is also an investor and operator of Sensory Odyssey a French originated ,highly successful experience of the environment. This has led to Harvey’s interest in building an Immersive Entertainment Hub housing both IP and Venues.
